Welcome to the
more than just a museum

The Tramway Museum is open at weekends and on public holidays with trams running from 11am.

If you are coming from Wellington along SH1 (Transmission Gully), follow the "Tram Rides & Museum" signs at the Northern End of the Motorway.

In addition to Tram Rides, we have displays in our Tram Barn and a Kiosk selling snacks, cold refreshments and souvenirs.

Make a day of it at Queen Elizabeth Park on the Kapiti Coast.
