The
Kapiti Coast Electric Tramway provides a glimpse into Wellington's past
with its collection of working heritage trams and memorabillia. The
museum is open daily and during weekends, public and school holidays,
trams run regularly from the park entrance at MacKays Crossing for 2
Kms to Whareroa Beach. The cost for entry to the museum is $5 for adults
and $3 for children. When trams are running, the combined tram ride
and musem entry is $9.50 per adult, $4.00 per child or $24.00 per family
(2A, 2C).
Enjoy
a nostalgic look back at a piece of Wellington's transport history with
our tramway display and tram ride through the scenic coastal sand dunes
of Queen Elizabeth Park. Take a look at our museum display, our 'Yesteryear

other interesting tramway artifacts.
Our
shop is open during operating hours selling tram tickets, ice creams,
soft drinks, snacks and tramway souvenirs.
