Bringing a Group to the Kapiti Coast Electric Tramway

Groups are always welcome at the Kapiti Coast Electric Tramway. Members of your organisation may have a keen interest in trams, transport or history or may just be looking for a unique place to visit. Whatever your interest, there is lots to see, explore and discover. The tramway is also an exciting education resource for pupils and students of all ages.

If required, we can arrange for park rangers to give a talk on the eco-system of Queen Elizabeth Park including a short walk. There is plenty to keep everyone interested at the museum and park, both indoors and out and staff are always on hand to offer advice and assistance. There is also a horse riding operation on the park and horse rides can be included into your visit.

Provided the visit is made on a normal museum open day there is no minimum charge. The cost is $5 per adult and $2.50 per child (under 5 accompanied by parent no charge) and for groups of 11 or more we offer a 10% discount.

If on a day we are normally closed (if possible please avoid Mondays and Tuesdays), there will be a minimum charge of $125 per group (these charges include GST). If horse riding is required, we will provide a quote based on your needs (please notify us if horse riding and/or an eco-system talk is wanted in the Special Needs section of the form below).

We recommend a pre-visit wherever possible and for any organiser or teacher thinking about bringing a group on a visit, we are happy to provide complimentary tickets for this purpose. We understand how much work a group organiser or teacher has to put in to make the day a success. With this in mind we always try to make things as easy as possible.
